i have a 98 cadillac catera. and i have alot of features on my car that i dont know about. i dont have the manual so its hard to really know.i havent started my car up for a couple of days now because i have been sick but i go out and check on it every now and then, but when i went to check on it yesterday the inside windows were foggy and i opened the door and touch the window and it was like condensation from a steam shower. i felt heat in the lower level of the car by the seats. i wanted to know do anybody know whats causing this or does the car do it on its own to keep warm i have heated seats but again i havent started my car up so i think the heated seats wouldnt work unless my car has been started can some one please give me a good answer?

I own a shop, and it sure sounds like the heated seats are staying on all the time. If so, then it must be putting a drain on the battery. Are you getting moisture into the car somehow? Check the passenger side floor pan to see if its wet, it may have a leaking heater core, as this will make the windows fog up really bad. Also; feel around inside the trunk to see if you find any moisture around the lower sides of the trunk. I'm thinking the trunk seal may be bad letting water into the trunk. For it to fog up the windows, it must have a leak somewhere or it wouldn't have that kind of moisture inside.
