Default Why do most masons drive Cadillacs?

About 90% of the masons symbols that i have seen on cars are on Cadillacs,Expesally DeVille's i was just curious whats its about cadillacs that they like? Is it the the "Square" lookin symbol on the older model cadillacs, You know the symbol under the compass, or is it something stupid like the "a Mason car will give a discount to a fellow mason so they go ahead and get a nice cadillac. I hope this dont offend Masons that do or dont drive Cadillacs...

I am a Master Mason and drive an Olds Aurora. I bought it because I have a bad knee (I was tortured when I was in the US Army) so driving 800 miles each month to the two Lodges I belong to would be a tad more comfortable. It also gets 26 miles per gallon.

I sometimes have three other Lodge Brothers with me and the room is nice. One Brother is a lawyer and she wants room to spread out her papers to work on cases. Yes, some of our Brothers are women in Co-Masonry.

Truth is, I kind of wish I had a Prius now with gas prices the way they are. That or maybe a bio-diesel.

We Freemasons try to buy as locally as we can. Cadillac is an American car. So was an Olds. *sigh* I hope no one objects to that.

As far as I know, most Masons are older men. Older men like Cadillacs -- that was all my grandpa would drive. I think that's the connection.

I don't think your observation is accurate but if it's a little intrigue you're after...yes..the cadillac IS the official masonic car for reasons that can not be divulged here...but just forget that you've noticed or they'll have to take you for a ride in one...ok?

You can't fool us NeoArt. We know a conspiracy when we see it. As a matter of fact I notice a lot of black people around where I live driving Cadillac...sure there isn't a masonic-black connection? Wait, come to think of it...there's quite a few caddies parked over at the hospital..OMG it's a black-masonic-md conspiracy to take over the world!!

I hadn't really noticed this, but they probably like the bigger car and it is a generational style that they like, in general.

I researched and foudn the links below...nothing came up with masons/cadillacs.

I do not know. I can guess, however, that it might have something to do with a perceived prestige value in owning a Cadillac. "Stonecutters", as you know, love to flaunt their acquisitions, and are the sponsors of many parades. Ostentation, in fact, appears to be high on their list of priorities. In this way others are enticed to join them and to try to get ahead the same way.

It might also have something to do with nationalism, and the fact that the Cadillac is perceived as an all American car. The Declaration of Independence , as you know, was signed by an amazing number of Freemasons.

It could also be some kind of message that is widely understood among other Freemasons, like their handshakes and greetings. (also like certain entries in the Henderson Directory might be)

Your own guesses are probably as good as any, I suspect.

If you visit the web site

http://thebiggestsecretpict.online.fr.nwo.htm

you may recognize some symbols, logos and insignia, as well as view some pictures.

We will never know, because the Masons always keep their secrets
