I own a 2000 chrysler neon, there is a growling noise from front.?

I own 2000 chrysler neon and there is growling noise from front, I checked wheel bearings, they are ok..this noise is driving me crazy...it starts when I drive, there is no noise when car is on idle. I am suspecting either transmission or cv joint..any suggestions.
