They seem to be hard to find and are priced on the high end for the new ones because they are in demand. The used ones are cheaper but usually have around 40 to 50 K. I don't mind something used if it was taken care of but the next question on my mind is repair and maint.

Should I buy new to have the full warranty coverage or should I buy used and not worry because they are built well?

I'm buying to save money in the long run. I drive about 200 miles a day. I'm not totally green but it doesn't hurt to your part also.

Considering the miles you drive in a day, I'm not sure that purchasing a hybrid at all would do you any favors. Unless you are driving 200 city miles in a day. The electric engine on the hybrids only operates when you are in a stop and go kind of situation. If you are driiving highway miles then you will be getting the same mileage as a non-hybrid vehicle.

( i am an auto dealership general manage) option one : buy used, and purchase a long extended warrenty. you save alot on the sales price compared with new. option two : purchase a non hybrid version for many thousands less, and apply that saving towards your fuel cost. if you save 5 k compared with a hybrids cost, that equals two years of fuel cost on the normal vehicle.
