...1992 ford car? What I have used was only very temporary and the old red paint likes to come off when I rub on and buff the other waxes that I ahve used in the past.

Well you could try System One Polish System or a 3M product. Or take it to a local Auto Body shop and get it proffesionally done (probably your best bet)
