I have a blinking green "S" light in my 1990 Honda Accord. What does this mean?

It came on right as the speedometer stopped working for a few seconds (which happened 2 or 3 times) and stayed on until I turned the car off. It hasn't come back on yet in the two times I've driven the car since. I don't have the owner's manual.
