my 81 honda accord is starving for gas will not keep an idle?

ran fine yesterday today will not stay running i keep having to press on the accelorator repeatedly to keep it running but still wont go over 1 mile an hour
can anyone tell me where the fuel filter is located on my 1981 honda accord , and how do i go about checking it
