My Honda Civic Makes a Clicking Sound When it Accelerates > ~2000 RPMs, Even in Warm
Weather. Whaa? After I haven't driven my car (97 Civic, Manual, FWD) for several hours, it will make a clicking sound coming from the engine when I accelerate above around 2000 RPMs.It'll stop when I shift up, then click again when I reach >2000 RPMs.
The clicking sound gradually slows down immediately after I first hear it, so it's like "clickclickclick click click click, click, click... click".
It'll stop clicking after a few minutes of driving.
It doesn't matter if I'm turning the wheel or not, so it's not the CV joints.
All the belts were recently changed <6 months ago.
