Default in ref to the 97 hyundai elentra he replaced the alternator charged the...

...battery for a few hours and the car? still wont start could it be other problems besides the battery?

Lots of things, solenoid, starter replay, starter etc etc

if the clutch goes out or something is wrong with the pressure plate in reference to the clutch, the car wont crank.. get a diagnostic test done that should tell u wats wrong
