Default Is a KIA Sportage a chick car? I'm looking for a gas friendly vehicle.?

I have a Dodge Dakota and the gas is killing me so I`m looking for a nice mid size vehicle that is good on gas.

Hmmm. its not really a chick car, i dont think... it depends on the color you get. why dont you check out the Rav-4 or the honda Cr-v? those are also supposed to be good on gas...

Kias, like Hyundais, are NOT good quality cars. If you need a cheap car for just about two years, then go ahead with the Kia, but if you need something for longer than that, get something else.

May I suggest a Toyota Rav4 - it's great for both men and women.

I bought my 2003 Rav4 brand new. It's now four years old and the only problem I have ever had with it is when my sunroof started leaking a few months after I bought it (which Toyota quickly replaced with a brand new sunroof at no cost to me). That was the only 'problem' I've ever had with it.

And the gas is great. With the gas price right now ($2.99 here), it costs me $23 to fill it, and that lasts me a week and a half.

The 2007 kia sportage and Hyundai Tucson (The same car actually) are good choices for the price.

The interior is quite elegant and well done, handling is quite correct and I think it looks good for a small SUV.

I know the 4cyl could be stronger and the tires are not high quality.

Like others said, you might want to look at the Toyota Rav-4. Talking about fuel economy, I saw that the 4-cyl with the manual tranmission is quite good on gas.

Good luck with your car shopping

get a 2008 ford escape hybrid. it gets all the way up to 34 mpg, has lots of power, more rugged and manlier looking, and a nice interior. after all, the ford escape along with the ford explorer has been the best selling suv's in america. they are GREAT on reliability too.
