Someone told me kia cars are made by GM. Is this true?

I would like to buy a kia car but we don't have a kia delear around here and someone told me kia cars are made by GM. Is this true?

Kia is a Ford Product and the main plant is in GA if I am not mistaken on the location.
They are not made in KOREA! I have had freight delivered right there in GA!
I just went to the web site below. THE full name of the company is KIA AMERICA MOTORS. Their parent company is from South Korea so I stand corrected on that. But the main AMERICAN version is headquartered in Irvine, CALIF. the site below will tell you where the closest KIA dealership is to your zip code.
THE CAR YOU PURCHASE WILL BE MADE IN UNITED STATES!
