Default Recently purchase 96 Nissan 240sx has clutch problems. It is in gear and

as i gas it the car doesn't move. Clutch area of car heats up and I can feel it as my feet is next to it.

Check out how to adjust the clutch and see if it is right.
Other then that you need a new clutch.
I also replace the throw out bearing, pilot bearing and the pressure plate too. I also check for rear seal leaks on the engine and front seal leaks on the transmission.
While you have it apart and are buying parts think about the advantages of a lightened flywheel (if you can find one).
