The last Oldsmobile rolled off the line in Lansing, Michigan April 29, 2004 (My birthday, that's how I remember) It was a special edition burgundy Alero. You can find really good and clean Oldsmobiles at most GM used car dealerships for a heck of a deal. I was looking at an 2002 Intrigue, but ended up going for a 2001 Ford Maverick instead because of the 4WD.

GM quit making Olds cuz they had too many divisions. It was OK to have that many back in the old days, but now every Third World country you can think of, like Japan and France thinks they need to be in the car industry. Oldsmobile was one of the finest, most dependable cars ever made. Unfortunately, it's considered boring by Gen X, Y and Z, kids who think a Hyundai is cool.
Look on craigslist.org, Ebay, check all the little free car mags at your gas staion, grocery store, etc. Those Oldsmobiles are still out there. Good luck!
