Default If you drive a Saab 9-3 SE (I have a 2001 convertible) in Sports mode, does

that affect gas mileage? I have a black/tan 2001 Saab 9-3 SE Turbo convertible. I love this car and love how it responds when I press the "S" button on the shifter to change into Sports mode. It definitely gives the engine more power when you press the gas pedal down. But does this affect the car negatively if I drive it always in this mode? I was thinking maybe I'd get less mileage from a gas tank but I don't know and can't seem to find any answers anywhere.
Anyone know?
