spent 400 dollars t o fix it.? I have had this vehicle for a long time. It is a piece of junk. It has been setting up for a while, and I know that water did get into the gas tank. I think that I need some type of injector or something, but I don't want to get ripped off again. Any help will be appreciated.

drain the tank, change the fuel filter,put in a type of gas dryer like heet and some BG44K and run it and see what happens.good luck thats what I would do if it were mine.find out how the water got in the tank,get a locking gas cap

the 99 should be odb compliant and turn on your "service engine soon" light if a cylinder is misfiring.

Why do you think there was water in the gas tank?

Does it idle? run rough? die under load? etc. need some more details to narrow it down.
