...exhaust- car appt Thurs? This car was a great car once, I think. I just got it two months ago, and little things have been going wrong a lot.
The car was fine this morning, after our second "winter" frost, when I drove it three times. I get the car home, go to run back out for errands, and it's suddenly loud as can be. It was just in the shop last week for brakes, rotors (which they knew I knew), and a tinny rattling sound which was a loose clamp for the exhaust system. Four days go by and there's an exhaust problem- it's just roaring like there's no muffler at all.
If you can help me look to see that it's not just a loose pipe, as opposed to something I'm going to get charged a lot for, as though something was totally broken, I would really appreciate it.
It would be helpful to be able to understand what they tell me- I used to have a couple of friends in college, who would do all my car maintenance for free, and teach me a little. So I think I can understand this, too.
