the luxury cars (Volvo, BMW, JAGUAR) have a hole with a snap cover on the front

bumper? what's that? i'm not asking abouth the back up sensors. i need to know why these luxury brand cars have a poor design. come on! i don't want a beemer looking like a hummer
the jagar s type has one b elow the headlamps and the bmw 3 series. the korean cars don't have one
volvo and bmw have assembly plants here
