Is it better to buy a brand new, a pre-owned or lease a SUV hybrid?

I am thinking of buying a hybrid SUV and the top of my list is the LExus SUV which is a bit expensive. So as a first time buyer and on a budget I want to know which one would be a good deal for me, the pros and cons of buying or leasing? Thanks!
