Default Looking to buy a new SUV this year...?

I live in CA and the gas prices are ridiculous but I have a family and need plenty of room. Want to get best gas mileger for least $ any suggestions?

http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/findacar.htm - you can find all the mileage info on any model here. Diesel engines get better mileage, some of the Jeep models offer those. Hybrids only get good mileage if you live & work in the city or suburb next to a city you do all your commuting in...not on long open stretches like highways. If you don't need the off-road capabilities, You may want to consider a CUV (Crossover Utility Vehicle, somewhere between a minivan & SUV) as they are lighter and get better mileage than an SUV, plus ride on a smoother riding car, not truck, platform.

Jeep to build diesel-powered 2007 Grand Cherokee that should be good for about 32mpg.

Toyota Highlander makes the roomiest hybrid that I've seen. Go green!
