Default Are Insurance companies aloud to give your name to their client that hit your car?

I got backed into and it seems that the guy that backed into me knows everything about me. I thought that the questions I answered were confidential. I live in Connecticut, I don't know if it's different for each state. I am really angry that this man knows where I go to the Dr. now. That is scary that he knows this and more about me. I don't think it's any of his business and that nobody should have told him, unless he stole th einformation when nobody was looking. I don't know. Thanks in advance.
