Default 1990 acura integra leaking oil but cant find out where its coming from?

its a 1990 acura integra GS 5 speed and runs great but the other day when i was driving home it made a funny noise and then i started to smell burning oil so i pulled over and looked under my car and saw oil pouring out of it right in between the oil pan and the tranny.I checked the oil plug and it was good i checked the oil filter and the oil pan and that seemed fine.when the problen first happen and i pulled over and saw all the oil puuring out i checked my dip stick to see how much was in there and it said 3/4 full.So i still had to drive it home and that was about another 20 miles then when i got home i checked the oil agian and it still about 3/4 but when you see the amount of oil thats pouring out from the bottom of my car you would think that it would be all gone.So is it my tranny seal or what like i said it still runs perfect just like any other day the burning oil smell was because of the oil leaking onto my exaust.please help?

One or more of four things could be wrong.

1: Your rear main seal is bad.
2. Oil Pan gasket is bad.
3. Oil Filter is lose.
4. Transmission is leaking.

I would start with getting an oil change and see if that helps. After that you are going to have to take it to a good mechanic and get it checked out.

Transmission fluid has a different smell than motoroil burning on a hot exaust.

any time a car has an oil leak, you should check it from the top of the engine to the bottom , i mean, verify the valve cover gasket area and the ignition distributor seal....if that its ok , check the rear main seal or oil pan...
