Should I buy my friends Audi?

My friends 1998 A4 has 135K miles on it and a broken turbo but runs fine, he wants $4000. It is a Quattro, has leather and a 5spd, and a sunroof. I am at odds on what I should do. What should I look out for repairs, or any other warning signs?
