...unit? This is an unauthroized BMW repair person claiming to be a BMW specialist. He "Flashed EGS u nit with updated software", to try to fix a trouble light that came on every morning at the cold start next to the gear/transmission indicator. The update he did did not correct the light problem. Irrespective of the light problem itself, I would appreciate it if you can tell me how he was able to access this software, when he is not an authorized BMW dealer/mechanic and if it legal for him to do so.
